Paws in Wayanad is committed to creating a community where animals and humans coexist in harmony. Our mission is to provide high-quality healthcare and a safe haven for stray dogs and cats, protecting them from fear, hunger, disease, and violence.
Beyond providing care, we actively contribute to population control through sterilization and work towards eradicating rabies. Our adoption program carefully matches animals with loving families, while our educational outreach raises awareness about responsible pet ownership. By setting a new standard for animal healthcare in underserved areas, we strive to make a lasting impact on the wellbeing of animals in our community.
Building a safe haven
At Paws in Wayanad, we are busy laying the groundwork for us to be able to rescue, care for, and rehome stray dogs and cats in need. Once our facilities are operational, we will commit to providing medical care, controlling the stray population through sterilization, and vaccinating against rabies. Our adoption program is growing, and we are building towards more extensive community outreach and an educational programme to promote responsible pet ownership. As we develop, these efforts will expand, creating an even greater impact on the future of the voiceless.
