Ivy

We were contacted about a dog who was about to be abandoned after living with a family for five years due to their relocation. We then brought Ivy to our dog haven as we knew we couldn’t let Ivy face the confusion and heartbreak of being left behind. 

The transition wasn’t easy for Ivy. After spending five years in the same home with the same family, everything about a dog haven was unfamiliar and overwhelming. She was cautious and uncertain at first, needing time and patience to understand that this new place was safe. Our team worked closely with her, giving her the space she needed while also providing gentle reassurance and care.

Gradually, Ivy began to open up. She started exploring her surroundings with more confidence, forming bonds with our staff and volunteers, and discovering that life at our dog haven could offer her comfort and security. Now, she is thriving and would be happy to have a guardian angel looking over her. Would you like to be hers?
